CYA Basketball once again worked with Hoop Magic Sports Academy to put together a Hoop Magic summer college league that runs from mid-June to mid-July. Due to the ages of the players involved, this league is being run through Hoop Magic rather than CYA though it will be administered by volunteers from the CYA Basketball board.

Teams have now been formed for both the girls and boys leagues. Games began the weekend of 19-20 June. New registrations (for those not already on teams) has now closed but both the Boys and Girls leagues will accept the names of those who want to be put on the waiting list (for the Boys league) or the will-call list (for the Girls league).

BOYS: The Boys league may need some additional players once the season has progressed as players leave for vacation, etc. To be put on the waiting list,  contact Dale Howell at delbertdlh@hotmail.com. Note that the boys league is open only to 19-21 year olds that have just completed their sophmore or freshman year in college. If you have already been placed on a team but were not able to register, please contact Dale Howell.

GIRLS: The Girls league is accepting the names of those who would like to be on the "will-call" list.  These players  can be called by any team when that team is short on players (which happens all too often). There is no charge to be placed on this list; simply contact Bruce Wardlaw (bwardlaw@usgs.gov) or Rick Shryock (cyabb@att.net).  There are even a few regular roster spots on the six team if you are interested.

Some girls were placed on team but did not have a chance to register before registration closed on 13 June. For those girls, Hoop Magic has reopened registration through Wednesday 23 June. Please go to the  the Sportability link below and select "CYA & Hoop Magic Boys College League" to register.
